Love to LOL?
Get ready to laugh out loud at the LOL! Short Play Festival. Join us for an evening of non-stop fun featuring five hilarious short plays or pieces. It’s a fast-paced, side-splitting showcase of comedy where anything can happen. Don’t miss the laughs!
Submissions are gathered from all over the country with 10 short plays, musical, or comedy sketches (minimum 8 minutes for comedy sketches, can be more than one skit combined) being selected by a panel of judges for each festival. Each week a winner – selected by audience vote – receives the honor of “Best of the Week” and $100 prize. Pieces should have a running time of 15 minutes or less.
The shows are produced entirely by the playwright/creator and their team, are non union, and are presented at the Steve & Marie Sgouros Black Box Theatre – located on the 3rd floor walk-up of the historic Players Theatre in the heart of Greenwich Village – NYC.
DATES: July 16 – 19 & July 23 – 26
Plays run Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm, Sundays at 3pm
